I don’t know about my readers, but I suffer from some serious under eye dark spots and sometimes even some discoloration and dullness – especially after a break-out.

Usually, my go to product is of course, some concealer and maybe some luminizer to brighten my face and off-set any dullness. But I recently received a corrector from YSL’s Touche Éclat Neutralizer (Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Neutralizers) in the color 3 – Violet, so I decided to give it a try and see how it worked on my problem areas.

The neutralizing pens come in three shades: Vert Green (corrects blemishes and conceals redness), Abricot Bisque (corrects dark circles and dark spots – illuminates), and Violet (corrects yellow dull skin for a healthy glow). All you have to do is click the liquid onto the brush and dap or swipe the neutralizer onto the area you want to correct. The idea behind neutralizing and color correcting is pretty simple. It’s like a color wheel,  colors that are opposite from one another will help cancel the other out.” So purple minimizes yellow tones, green wipes out redness, and pink counteracts sallowness.

This product is available at Sephora or YSL for $38 for 0.08oz so it is a luxury product, but the great news is that just a small dab goes a LONG WAY, so there’s no need to cake this bad boy on and by correcting those small spots on your face you hopefully cut out the need to apply too many other products.

So here is my full and unabridged review:

I noticed that my face looked smoother and brighter on the sections where I applied the violet neutralizer. I would’ve liked to receive the shade apricot much more than violet because like I said, dark circles are a much bigger problem for me than dull skin, but overall I am very pleased with how little of the neutralizer I had to use to get that fresh glow I sought out. Targeting dullness also made my face look better overall and pulled attention away from other imperfections.

So whether you need some help with dark circles, redness or dullness, if you’re still looking for that perfect product, I highly recommend you look into this one!
