When I came back from my Internship in Barcelona, my jet-lagged body wasn’t the only thing that had to adjust to being back in the States. My scalp was dry and looked like it was going to completely disintegrate (gross, I know) and as if that wasn’t bad enough, my hair was falling out at a seriously abnormal. I looked for every type of remedy from dandruff and dry scalp shampoo to hair masks and just about anything in-between. Nothing worked. It felt like the more product I put on my head the worse my scalp got and I was in DIRE need for a remedy to my problem. Seeing how much these shampoos and conditioners that were supposed to help actually hurt me, I decided my next move was to try natural products that would love my scalp instead of damaging it even more.
After months of trying different things, I found out about Truly Organic. Truly Organic is a company that prides itself on having a cleanse made up of a Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Body Lotion and Face Cream made of only the best organic products from around the world. They are USDA organic, vegan, cruelty-free, non-GMO and use minimal ingredients (all which you can pronounce so there is no confusion about what you’re putting on your body). After finding out about them, I immediately wanted to try it – only problem was? The line of products wasn’t out yet. So I pre-ordered my cleanse and waited a little longer so I could see what this line was Truly about.
By now I’ve actually been using their product for over 6 months but I wanted to wait before I wrote anything about them to make sure the results I saw really stuck, so here it is:

From the presentation to the results, I’ve had a wonderful time using Truly Organic. Each cleanse comes in beautiful bottles and in a faux suede drawstring bag, perfect of carrying your cleanse during your travels, or for anything else you can put in there for an earthy touch to your look. But, since what’s inside matters MUCH more here’s a little on my experience with the actual products.
The shampoo was the hardest to get used to at first. Since it doesn’t have all those artificial ingredients, after using it my hair felt a little dry, but I decided to go with it and see how my hair (and scalp) felt. And let me say, it did not disappoint. The conditioner worked like magic, detangling and smoothing my hair so by the time I rinsed it off and got out of the shower, any dryness I felt from the shampoo was gone. The bodywash smelled great without being too overwhelming and again, left my skin feeling soft and wonderful. My absolute favorite part of the cleanse however, is their body lotion, it smells like a tropical island and it goes onto your skin as if its meant to be a part of it. My skin actually feels hydrated all day, and since I started using it I’ve found that it doesn’t get as dry – even during the harsh winter months. The last step was the face cream, which like the body lotion went on like a second skin.
Since my first time using the shampoo and conditioner, I have not switched for any other product (nor do I plan to any time soon) and though my scalp remained a little dry at first, it got healthier and healthier with each use until it finally went back to normal, as did the hair loss (win). Same goes for the bodywash and lotion. The only part of the cleanse I really don’t use every day is the face cream – my face tends to get a bit oily so I try not to use too much of it to prevent any breakout.
I started using Truly Organic because of a problem I had at the moment, but with every passing month, I find more to love about it from the company’s mission and values, to knowing exactly what I am putting onto my body to the results – not only of a healthy scalp – but smooth, frizz free, beautiful, shiny hair.
